HomeAgain … An initiative to create safe, decent, affordable, and conveniently accessible housing for individuals and families experiencing longer term homelessness. Area nonprofits may apply for grant funds to develop, own and manage permanent housing for their clients who are homeless. Alternatively, they may partner with organizations that specialize in housing development and property management. Nonprofits will help ensure their clients remain stably housed by providing on-going support services. Rental assistance is available from Chattanooga Housing Authority. Approximately $600,000 in HUD HOME funds is available though this initiative At least 25% of funds required to complete the housing must come from other sources.
