The Community Advisory Committee on Homeless Issues was formed by Chattanooga City Council Chairmen Leamon Pierce and charged with the responsibility of looking at homeless issues in Chattanooga including the proposed building of a Community Resource Center.

This committee is made up of twelve community leaders from different backgrounds and is chaired by Chattanooga City Council member Linda Bennett.

The committee will review many issues including the needs of, and services available to Chattanooga’s homeless citizens, as well as the reported panhandling problem in downtown Chattanooga.

The Committee will meet each Thursday at 8:30 a.m. at the Greater Chattanooga Housing Resource Center at 801 N. Holtzclaw Ave., Chattanooga, TN.
